Volkswagen Teases New Features for Upcoming Facelifted ID.3 Model

Volkswagen (VW) has released a sneak peek video of the updated version of its ID.3 model, which is set to be launched on the 1st of March. This updated version is expected to feature several enhancements, including a larger infotainment screen, improved interior materials, and a revamped exterior. 

Safety Features: IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED Headlights

The latest teaser highlights the model's safety focus, specifically its IQ.LIGHT matrix LED headlights, which can selectively illuminate the road to reduce glare for other drivers.

Although not much has been revealed about the upcoming ID.3's exterior design, there are likely to be subtle cosmetic updates. Spy shots suggest a slightly different front bumper, but there aren't many noticeable changes elsewhere. However, with VW's history of quality design, we can anticipate impressive improvements.

Interior Features: Enhanced Design and Assistance Systems

The updated Volkswagen ID.3 will feature a more advanced interior, with a larger 12-inch infotainment screen that includes newer software and an intelligent Electric Vehicle Route Planner. Additionally, the interior will have a redesigned center console with two cup holders and a removable luggage compartment floor. The steering wheel will be covered in high-quality leather substitute instead of genuine leather.

The facelifted ID.3 will come equipped with the latest generation of fully integrated assistance systems, including the optional Travel Assist with Swarm Data and Park Assist Plus with Memory Function. These systems will provide a more intuitive and enjoyable driving experience.

Launch Details and Price

The updated Volkswagen ID.3 is expected to be priced at €43,995 ($68,956 AUD) in Germany and will be assembled at the Zwickau and Dresden plants, with production also starting at VW's factory in Wolfsburg next year. With its advanced safety features, improved interior design, and state-of-the-art assistance systems, the facelifted Volkswagen ID.3 is expected to be a popular model in the EV market.
